Auto insurance that someone explains to you

Auto cover is required almost everywhere, which is why so much of it is sold on price alone. As an independent agency we compare your options across a panel of carriers, then explain what the differences actually mean before you choose.

What we look at

Common questions

What does liability cover actually pay for?

It pays for injury or damage you cause to other people and their property, up to the limits on your policy. It does not repair your own car — that is collision and comprehensive. State minimums are frequently lower than the cost of a serious accident, which is why the limit is worth a conversation.

Should I raise my deductible to lower the premium?

Sometimes, and only if you could comfortably pay that deductible tomorrow without difficulty. A lower premium is not a saving if a claim becomes unaffordable at the moment you need it.

Am I covered driving someone else’s car?

Usually, if you had permission, because cover generally follows the vehicle first and the driver second. It varies by policy, so it is worth confirming before you rely on it.

Does a claim always raise my premium?

Not always. It depends on fault, the size of the claim, your history and the carrier. Because we work with several carriers we can look at how each treats a claim rather than accepting one company’s answer.
